As The Triple Play Stakes Rise, Radisys Pushes the Envelope on Speed and Applications for Broadband Service Providers
Remember when the triple play used to mean basic Internet access, cable television, and voice services?
Things have changed dramatically since ISPs began offering these home-based services a few decades back, and today triple play stakes are higher than ever, as consumers demand high-speed Internet, HD streaming video, and voice services embedded into applications, including voice-activated services.
This week at Broadband World Forum 2021, Radisys will be demonstrating to the thousands of broadband service providers gathering in Amsterdam not only what is possible in this next-level world of at-home technology but how it is possible with cloud-native containerized solutions for PON, designed to enhance FTTx offerings.
Rajesh Chundury, VP of Customers Solutions for Radisys, will be presenting on the potential of the combination of fiber, cloud-native PON solutions, and affordable unified gateways, while also participating in the Open Networking Foundation’s workshop “Taking opensource to production in broadband network with VOLTHA, a community view,” alongside experts from Adtran, Deutsche Telekom, Netsia and Türk Telekom.
Radisys’ Connect Broadband Access Controller (CBAC) software enables service providers to evolve their fiber networks with an open software solution that facilitates faster product innovation cycles, increased automation, and deeper network visibility with both centralized and distributed deployment models.
