Communications Service Providers are in the middle of a multi-year transformation of their networks - migrating form hardware-centric networks to software-centric networks leveraging open source technology, running on open hardware platforms. As part of this transformation, many CSPs also need to upgrade their access network capacity and capabilities to accommodate the explosive growth of video streaming services, SaaS and cloud-based applications, and the emerging IoT market.
