Shortlisted for #GlotelAwards! Radisys’ M-CORD Solution Advances the Road to 5G
I am excited to share that our turnkey Mobile CORD (M-CORD) solution has been shortlisted for the 2017 Global Telecoms Awards in the “Advancing the Road to 5G” category. We worked closely with our ONF and CORD partners to deliver the industry’s first end-to-end open reference solution for M-CORD, bringing the CORD framework to the mobile edge of the network for 5G services.
As 5G continues to define the future of the telecom industry and enable the 4th industrial revolution, communications service providers (CSPs) are seeking to deploy open architectures such as CORD (Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter) to break vendor lock-in, accelerate innovation and reduce costs. As such, M-CORD has emerged as the platform of choice for enabling 5G as it aligns with CSPs’ migration to next-gen networks built with open source components.
Our complete M-CORD solution is comprised of an open mobile infrastructure and edge services, an open control and management and a carrier-grade open compute platform to maximize the economics and agility of the cloud at the network edge. CSPs can deploy our turnkey solution to accelerate 5G mobile service innovation and revenues. Backed by our professional services organization, our team also ensures that we meet our CSP customers’ specific 5G service delivery requirements.
What’s Next?
Following on from our M-CORD solution, Radisys has continued to innovate in CORD with the industry’s first Multi-Access CORD proof-of-concept – being showcased this week at MWC Americas running on our DCEngine open platform. I encourage you to stop by the ONF Partner Showcase (Stand N.332) for an in-person demonstration and to meet our CORD experts. (Email open@radisys.com if you’d like to schedule a meeting.)
We are proud to be recognized for our innovative, open M-CORD solution amongst a field of great finalists and look forward to the awards ceremony in London on November 2.
