The IP Media Server makes all the difference: Radisys presenting on Unified Communications at IT EXPO West 2010

Historically, for companies to offer any sort of voice or Unified Communications functionality, a requirement for applications such as a company call center, they would have had to build their own “service delivery platform” (SDP) to power those capabilities. Adding voice, text or video functionality was just not available to purchase off-the-shelf. But due to pleas from contact-center operators, and other unified communications users alike, the market place is evolving.

With the advent of “telcos in the cloud,” which leverage infinitely scalable platforms, the barrier to entry for delivering advanced communications and telephony functionality as a way to provide a richer, more robust customer experience is quickly disappearing. One such infinitely scalable platform is the Radisys IP Media Server.

Intrigued? On Oct. 6, I will present at the ITEXPO West 2010 in Los Angeles, Calif., on how advances in next-generation communication technologies are improving the end-user experience while providing new revenue opportunities for conferencing service providers. The presentation will highlight the benefits of IP Media Servers to contact-center operators, hosted service providers, system integrators, and independent software vendors giving attendees a glimpse into the more scalable, efficient and prosperous future with IP Media Server in unified communications.

The panel session, “‘Self-Service’ Telecom and Beyond,” will be held at 1:45 – 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Drop by to learn more and say hello.
